The difference is validation: paid OV/EV certificates verify your business identity and provide higher trust signals. For blogs, portfolios, and small business sites, free SSL is perfectly adequate.
Yes. The M-Pesa Daraja API requires all callback URLs to use HTTPS. Without a valid SSL certificate, M-Pesa transactions will not work. Our free SSL (included with hosting) is sufficient for Daraja integration.
